Our staff and lawyers buy and wrap presents to the residents Heading Home serves in shelters, transitional, and permanent housing. Heading Home has been a pioneer in ending homelessness in the greater Boston area for four decades. They do more than provide shelter. They assist individuals and families in getting the many services that help them move forward in their lives in a positive way. Their work helps ensure that their clients will never again be homeless. From the Heading Home website: Heading Home’s mission is to end homelessness in Greater Boston by providing a supported pathway to self-sufficiency that begins with a home, together with critical services such as life skills, financial literacy, and job training. For eleven consecutive years, 90+% of the residents in our permanent housing programs have remained successfully housed a year later. Heading Home needs our support throughout the calendar year. You can donate money here. They also have an Amazon wishlist that lets you purchase urgently needed supplies for their clients, like housewares, personal care products, diapers, and sheets and towels. We thank our staff who throw themselves wholeheartedly into the Heading Home gift giving every year. This initiative is led by Legal Assistant Sandi Goodwin, who coordinates the shopping, wrapping, organizing, and transporting of shelter gifts to Heading Home. Many hands make light work, and we are grateful to all who participate. Amazon Wishlist Donate to Heading Home here. Read more about volunteer opportunities with Heading Home here.
